Our story began more than 75 years ago, at Christmas in 1943. The founder Bertil Svensson - a young electrician - saw his mother struggling with her needlework in a dimly lit room. Bertil designed his own solution to her problem, a floor lamp. It was not only the help his mother needed, but also the first step towards establishing the Fagerhult luminaire business.
Originated in the dark Swedish forests, the importance of light has always been crucial for us – and we strive for creating a positive change for people and planet with our solutions and the way we do business. Our mission is to use our lighting knowledge and collaborative mindset to create a brighter future.
The Fagerhult brand includes both the product company Fagerhults Belysning AB (based in Fagerhult, Sweden) and 13 sales companies with focused locations across Europe.
